DescriptionDrawing, using colored pencils on Arches paper, of the remains of bird wings. Once the drawing was complete, Ress found a small detail on it which resembled the looks of flying wings, and cut it out of the drawing. The small cut detail is placed above the drawing, as if flying away. Sometime after it was finished, it was in an exhibit, and a viewer told her that it reminded her of making an opening for the soul to be released, and fly free.
