DescriptionFrom 1995 to 2002, Marchand produced her Cityscape series from, which came about from observation of the lyrical quality of city architecture. She made pictorial composition in geometric shapes, inspired by rooftops, windows and structures. She has also worked with arts projects that focus on revitalizing local communities and neighborhoods in Washington, DC.
A landmark in Dupont Circle and the District of Columbia's tallest residential building, the Cairo overlooks the rooftops of residential buildings in the neighborhood.
