DescriptionFrom 1995 to 2002, Marchand produced her Cityscape series from, which came about from observation of the lyrical quality of city architecture. She made pictorial composition in geometric shapes, inspired by rooftops, windows and structures. She has also worked with arts projects that focus on revitalizing local communities and neighborhoods in Washington, DC.
“The Big Hunt” is a view of neighborhood rooftops in the commercial zone of Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Along with established businesses the scene rises up to embrace an eastern progression of city life.
