DescriptionThis first in a series of “Ghost Eviction” paintings depicts the spire that Borromini designed for St. Ivo presiding over multicolored grave-like markers. This painting was composed out of an assortment of photo archive images as well as landscape painting tropes. This “Ghost Eviction” painting is a symbolic and humorous approach to notions of eviction and urban redevelopment, and how ghosts aren’t even safe from cycles of poverty and eviction.
