Artist Statement:
“Beauty carries a sense of wonder that resonates on a unique wavelength, one that you can sense as deeply as you can see. My aim is to transform and explore the concept of portraiture. Through the technique of double exposures, I am merging two images into a single piece. My work challenges traditional notions of who is photographed and who has the privilege to view those images. Ultimately, I aspire to establish a collection that celebrates black women of this time, setting a standard for contemporary female portraiture.”
