DescriptionThis photograph captures the crowded gathering of a community day celebration at Anacostia Park. The National Park Service space in the heart of DC has served as a community gathering place since its founding in 1919. It includes the Anacostia River, where visitors can fish and boat, the Anacostia riverwalk trail, for walking, running and biking, as well as space for basketball, rollerskating, and of course, enjoying music.
