DescriptionNash has long been fascinated with the shape and structure of leaves of all kinds, and by their amazing variety. A few years ago she came across some very large leaves; she printed fabric with them and this was the start of a new series. In the resulting works, the leaves take center stage, enhanced by accidental patterns created by the printing tools, variable amounts of paint, etc. The stitching echoes the vein patterns of the leaves, or the spaces around them. The relationships between the leaves comprise an important element of the composition.
