DescriptionFletchers Boathouse, along the Potomac River below Georgetown, is an authentic treasure of the Washington, DC area. Kushnir has painted many views of the river at the site, trying to choose and highlight a different characteristic each time. In this particular painting, he wanted to emphasize the stillness of a hazy summer day.
Detailed painting of a row of four small brown rowboats (in foreground) on a still river densely lined with leafy green trees (in mid/background). The boats are connected to each other by rope and tied to one of two wooden stakes in the river.
