DescriptionKushnir’s daughter Larissa was a coxswain on a Walt Whitman High (Montgomery County, MD) crew team for a period, and they stopped at the Canoe Club when he happened to be on site creating a plein air painting of the docks there. The historic building is a Washington, DC landmark, and begs for a painting of its inside.
Detailed landscape painting of a river (left side) with a wood-plank dock, gray-blue house and grass and stone-covered bank (on right side) under a large pale-blue/cloudy white sky. A tree covered hillside forms the horizon line and opposite riverbank.
