BiographyLisa Fanning began exploring photography as a college exchange student at the Institute for International French Studies in Strasbourg, France. After completing her BA in French and MA in Intercultural Communication, she began her career in DC. She has worked in workforce development and international education. Since 2006, when she was selected for a prestigious juried exhibition in Oakland, CA, she has been a practicing photographer. Specializing in fine art and documentary/street photography, she has won numerous awards and in 2017 her work was featured in the Huffington Post. Fanning has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States and in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a member of the Exposure Group and Black Artists of DC.
