Bridget Sue Lambert

BiographyBridget Lambert received a BFA at the University of Maryland, College Park, and worked for seven years as Assistant Director and resident printer at Pyramid Atlantic: Riverdale. From 2001 to 2010 she ran AAGPA Editions, a digital fine art printing press in Annapolis, MD. From 2010 to 2011 she ran Furthermore Prints, a contemporary digital press in Washington, DC. In 2012, Lambert purchased a large format ink jet printer and began working out of her home in Washington, DC, and from her studio in Arlington, VA, where she was a resident artist at the Arlington Arts Center until 2016. Bridget also photographs and prints her own work, in which she constructs scenes that simulate the emotional and physical clutter surrounding romantic relationships as well as a woman’s relationship with herself.

Lambert’s work has been exhibited as part of the Dream Rooms exhibition at the National Building Museum, Washington, DC; DC ARTWALK and Public Garden, Washington, DC; the Open Sky Project, Rosslyn, VA; and ART ON THE ART BUS, VA. She is a recipient of a 2004 Maryland State Arts Council Works on Paper grant. Her work is in private and public collections, including the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum Collection. Lambert is represented by Civilian Art Projects.
