Heidi Fowler
Heidi Fowler’s work explores the tension between the beauty of creation and the priorities of man. She hopes to inspire a greater consciousness and creativity towards what can be reused, repurposed and upcycled. Fowler is a recipient of the 2009-10 Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship Grant, and she was awarded second place in the 2009 Bethesda Painting Awards and received the 2007 Franz and Virginia Bader Fund Grant. Her work has been included in a wide variety of private, corporate and public collections including the University of Virginia and Dominion Resources. She has had solo exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach, VA; Greater Reston Arts Center in Reston, VA and Arlington Arts Center, Arlington, VA. Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous venues including the US Embassy Kyiv, Ukraine, and museums and galleries in DC, Virginia, North Carolina, and California. Fowler currently lives and works in Manassas, VA.
