Lloyd McNeillAmerican, b. 1935 - d. 2021

Lloyd McNeill was a jazz flutist, poet, and visual artists. After studying Art and Zoology at Morehouse College, he became the first recipient of Howard University’s MFA degree in 1963. In 1964-65, he studied lithography at the L’École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2007, McNeill was chosen by the USPS to design a postage stamp for the celebration of Kwanzaa in 2009.
