DescriptionEach of Price’s abstracted landscapes exploit a tension between photography and drawing. Inspired by images of sunlight as it fleets by, her underlying photographs evoke the mystical and the otherworldly. Using an x-acto blade, Price delicately scrapes away from the surface of the photographic print, revealing the white paper underneath. The forms Price carves out of the page are extracted from daily life, leading to an investigation of time, space, and matter.
