DescriptionPrice shot this photograph of an acquaintance on 4th Street and Virginia Ave, SE, under the I-695 overpass. Committed to using natural light in her work, Price scouted the location in advance to determine the best time for the shoot. It was one of the first images in the series Annabelle, Annabelle, in which women stand transfixed in and among severe everyday landscapes, offering viewers the opportunity to create stories about life and death, power and vulnerability, magnificence and uncertainty.
