Bob Burgess

BiographyAs a photographer, Bob Burgess creates images that define moments, capture feelings, and inspire thought. He served as White House staff photographer from 1979 to 1981 and has published photographs in The Washington Post, Newsweek, and Time Magazine, where we won Picture of the Year in 1981. He also served as a still photographer for several Ken Burns films. His photographs are available at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and the Walter Mondale Vice Presidential Library. Burgess has exhibited in Virginia and Colorado and has been a member of the White House Press Photographers since 1981.
