BiographyDavid Allen Harris is a fine art photographer and descendant of Underground Railroad conductor Frank Wanzer, as well as fine art artists and musicians. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1970s, where he was exposed to many artistic influences. Sketching was his primary passion in art classes, but he also studied science. In the eighties, Harris left California and moved to Washington, DC, to study computer science. Upon graduation, he became a software developer and took up photography as a hobby. He began exhibiting his work in 2007 at DC Artomatic. Since then, Harris has exhibited throughout the DC/Baltimore region. In 2012, he was a Hampton University Museum Barbara Forst Computer/Digital Art Award Winner.
