Michele Taylor
Michele Martin Taylor creates oil, watercolor and intaglio images of gardens and landscapes, as well as portraits, figures, and interiors. She graduated with a BA from Oregon State University and in 1978 undertook post-graduate study in Paris. Throughout the 1980s, she exhibited in the Pacific Northwest. She then moved East, where she continued to practice and also began a robust career as a gallerist. In the early 1990s, she opened a gallery in Carlisle, PA. In 1997, she established Taylor & Sons Fine Art in Washington, DC. In 2002, with artist Andrei Kushnir, she opened a gallery in Ellicott City, MD, followed by one in the East Village in Manhattan. Taylor’s work has been exhibited throughout US, as well as in Germany, France, and the Netherlands. Her works are included in public and private collections throughout the world.
