Rashin Kheiriyeh
Rashin Kheiriyeh is an internationally recognized, award-winning illustrator/author, animator and painter who has 22 years of experience in publication and broadcasting. She has published over eighty children’s books in countries such as United State, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Germany, Spain, South Korea, China, Brazil, India and Iran.
Kheiriyeh has received fifty national and international awards and is the character artist of the most popular Iranian animation series called Sugarland/ Shekarestan for national TV in Iran. She has doctorate degree in Illustration from Ministry of Art and Culture, Tehran, Iran; an MFA in graphic design from Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran; a BFA in graphic design from Azad University, Tehran, Iran; and she studied digital art at School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York, NY.
Kheiriyeh is a lecturer in the Department of Art at the University of Maryland. Her clients include the New York Times, Google, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Penguin Random House, Barefoot Books, NorthSouth Books, Kennedy Center, and Stanford University.
