BiographyMary Anne Arntzen is a painter interested in creating narrative relationships between non-representational forms. She has an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art’s Mount Royal School of Art and a BA from Boston University. Recent exhibitions include a solo show at Gettsyburg College, and group exhibitions at Resort Gallery and St. Charles Projects. Awards include the Bethesda Painting Prize (2019) and Maryland State Arts Council Independent Artist Grant for Painting (2016). Arntzen has completed residencies at the Wassaic Project, Vermont Studio Center, and Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild. She was born in Riverside, California and lives in Baltimore, MD. Artist website
