BiographyMy work typically explores little known global landscapes to capture the vibrancy of unfamiliar places. I have had the opportunity to live and work across the United States, Europe, and Africa, often in regions of the world that are ignored or seen in only one dimension. I have drawn on traditional and contemporary tools, relying primarily on light, distance, and bright color, to emphasize their accessibility and commonalities through oil landscapes. Whether working on a plein air or studio piece, I aim to build my paintings from the experiences I have had in the places I am representing.
