DescriptionIn the painting, Polka (Blob’s Park), Farrin works with images and fields of massive weight and ethereal lightness as though gravity and weightlessness could exist in an impossible relationship of faith. The painting’s physical presence is structured in a weaving process. The warp and woof of paint elicits forms and relationships that ravel and unravel. Form itself is a process never fixed. Within the envelope of a layered, blushing ground, Farrin hopes to speak of the unpredictable turns and ambiguities of living.
