DescriptionThis was shot at sunset on the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. Standing in one position, Hesh rotated the camera, shooting single images from side to side. Back in the studio, on the computer, she combined thirty or more photographs to make one image referencing how we actually look at a large scene. Our eyes shift from point to point, horizontally and vertically, registering many images which our brain then composes into one impression. Hesh enjoys the challenge of combining so many photographs from one scene to convey my experience of the location. Perspective is disrupted, reality distorted, space extended drawing you into the image.
