DescriptionAfter numerous walks on the Mall visiting our museums in the early ‘90’s I started copying what was written on signs that homeless people were holding. "ART TOUR OF WASHINGTON DC" displays that while tourists visit our museums they also see our homeless.
Textile depiction of Washington, DC museums, and tour buses with embroidered and appliquéd pieces of fabric. Background of piece has six horizontal bands of graduated color: ranging from midnight blue to kelly green. Top has cobalt blue silhouette of DC.
