“Influences Over Time,” is a testimony surrounding my past, present and future mentors that has tailored the development of my creative process, under the tutelage from these artistic professionals by serving as my career advisors. By working with a selected group of established painters, sculptors and digital printmakers this collaboration with past artists/administrators such as Thomas DeSmitt, Dr. Murry Depillars, and Dr. Alvin Loving, I learned to lay my canvas flat and build a textured surface. Also, under the tutelage of artists/administrators Sam Gilliam, Jr., Michael Platt, and Percy Martin, has resulted to my method by which I have expanded my artistic transformation from two-dimensional prints into three-dimensional construction to create a traditional and non-traditional contemporary experimentation in printmaking which produced 2D and 3D art.

I applied this technique to extend and/or reinvent my 2003 “Time to Redesign” series. Now, the “Time Experience” series represents the same metamorphosis concepts to experimental printmaking and to symbolize my respect for the impact these artists help development by working with me. This series reflects my interpretation of time by using elements and images associated with the conceptual theme. The artwork identifies my interest to recognize the importance of time as an event itself, what part it plays in one’s life or how one uses it. The viewer will be introduced to the evolution involving selected imagery that represent the mechanical parts as designs of high profile time pieces, as an attempt to provoke and promote self-awareness, social consciousness and spiritual enlightenment. The artworks assembled are innovative combination by using an abstract expressionism format to establish my interpretation and examine the contribution of traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques available in order to support visual advancement to post contemporary pop art.
