BiographyRoxana Alger Geffen grew up in New York and now teaches as George Mason University. She works in sculpture, painting, collage, textile and photography, with a focus on odd juxtapositions and tactile, intuitive responses to real things. She has held residencies at the Arlington Arts Center and Vermont Studio Center and has exhibited her work throughout the East Coast as well as in DC, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New Zealand. Geffen studied at Columbia University and received an MFA in painting from Boston University
