DescriptionFlore de Preneuf is a photographer who loves the theater of urban space and cherishes chance encounters. Working in the tradition of street photography, she adds a subjective, meditative quality to her work, aiming to see the present, connect it to the past, and reveal what is timeless and enduring in the Washington, DC, streetscape. de Preneuf uses a large format field camera that, while technically constraining, respects and elevates her subjects’ individualities due to its prominence and non-distortive qualities.
