DescriptionInspired by the song Tin Man by America, this artwork reflects on the character of the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, who realizes at the end of the film that he already possesses the compassionate heart that he thought he was missing. Andrews-Weller created this piece to honor the quilters across America who sew Quilts of Valor to comfort and heal military service members and veterans. The materials used to produce the piece include recycled parquet wood flooring, watercolor, ceramic tiles, and metallic spray paint.
