DescriptionCurveball is composed of (30) 6'-8" diameter polished stainless spheres which hang off the two parking decks forming the main entrance into the Nationals Baseball Stadium. The piece expresses the central drama of the game of baseball: a sinking fast pitch comes at you from the east, and a hit which ascends to the west. During the day, the mirrored surfaces reflect the neighborhood, views of the city, and the ever-changing sky. At night, color-changing lights project an ever-changing light show onto the parking deck.
