DescriptionIn “International Market, 3”, Maremi Andreozzi was interested in creating a dynamic still life that highlights fruit and vegetables from local international grocery stores. The key in the painting lists the names of the produce, as a mechanism to inform a viewer. The tangle of strings that hang the produce is a visual homage to the Spanish still life artists of the 17 century. (ie. Cotán and Sanchez)
